Prayer For Job Interview
God of all truth, your word is living and active, your voice is powerful, your speech compassionate. Guard and guide my tongue today in my job interview. Help me to say what I want to say, help me to answer questions clearly and communicate effectively. Help me to listen well and connect with the people I meet. Help me to extend your love and grace to every person I encounter. Clear my mind and guide me in what I think, say and do. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Loving Father, you know my future. You make all things work together for my good. Help me to trust you as I go to my interview. Whatever the outcome, I know that you are still working for my good and your glory. Help me to do my best, knowing that my future is in your mighty hand. I do not know what is around the corner but nothing can take you by surprise. I face uncertainty but I can be certain that you are in control and that you are good. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of all wisdom, you have promised to give wisdom to anyone who asks. As I approach my interview please give me wisdom in my speech. Guide my thoughts and direct my steps. When I experience uncertainty and confusion, may I lean on your limitless wisdom. May your Holy Spirit be at work in me like a lamp to my feet and shield to my mind. Heavenly Father, you are the God of peace which surpasses understanding. As I approach this job interview, please calm my anxiety and soothe my fears. Give me your peace in my soul. May I approach every part of the interview with the assurance that comes from your peace. I have nothing to fear when you are with me. If you are for me, who can be against me? My confidence in life is not based on my own strength or performance but it is rooted in you. You are with me, you never leave my side. Dear Lord Jesus, I am about to face a challenge and quite a daunting one, as I have been called to an important interview. For this, I bless You and thank You for hearing my prayer and enabling me to be given this opportunity.
You are the one that cares for all our needs and necessities, and I pray that You will be with me as I begin to prepare myself in body, soul and spirit for this meeting. I pray that with Your help, I may be the best that I can be as I attend the interview.
Help me to prepare my mind for the questions that I am likely to be asked, and also enable me to compose my heart so that I am resting in Your strength and not my own. Give me nights of good rest and sleep I pray, so that I am bright and alert for this meeting, and also prepare the panel that will be interviewing me I pray, so that they will show understanding and fairness.
I know, Lord, that all things work together for good to those that love You and are fitting into Your purpose. I pray that You will use this interview as an opportunity for me to draw closer to You as I depend on You in preparing myself for this life-changing challenge.
