Prayer For Intercessory
Lord of the Nations, thank you that you do not change, you remain the same from before the beginning of time into eternity. Your word says that you are good to all; you have compassion on all you have made. Give us, your people, a great love for your body, the church. May we love, serve and worship together, being filled with faithfulness and joy. May we grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To you be glory, both now and forever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of the Universe, thank you that every good and perfect gift comes from you, the Father of lights. Your word says that those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Please bless your church financially that your work may continue in this world. Inspire your people to give generously to support the ministry of the church. May we know your provision for all our needs. Hear our prayer and show favor to your church. May we see your beauty, feel your love, know your wisdom and experience your power. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Prince of Peace, thank you that we are never alone, your presence calms the troubled sea of our lives and speaks peace to our soul. Your word says that, if we abide in you, we will produce much fruit. We ask that you would make your church fruitful as we seek to build each other up into maturity in Christ. Hear our prayer, Lord. May your love be the passion in our hearts. May your joy be our strength when times are hard. May your presence be our peace that overflows. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Everlasting Father, thank you that there is nowhere I can go that is beyond your presence. The Bible says that we should not give up the habit of meeting together, but should persevere in encouraging one another. Strengthen your church through the attendance of your people. May we be filled with a desire to support and encourage one another in love and service to you. May your peace be in our hearts, your grace be in our words, your love be in our hands and your joy be in our soul. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Everlasting Father, Mighty God, Prince of Peace, we thank you that our prayers for the church can call on your never-ending love for your people. All across the world, we pray that you would be drawing people towards yourself and gathering them in churches where they can be faithfully discipled. We pray that churches across the globe would be attractive communities of grace that demonstrate your character to others. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are undergoing persecution and ask that you give them the strength they need to endure. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your great love for the church. We pray that your people would have unity amid diversity and would love each other faithfully regardless of culture or background. We ask that your church would produce mature disciples of Jesus who would spread the gospel message across the world. We pray that you would raise up godly and reliable leaders to shepherd your people. We ask that your church would display a hunger for your word and for your spirit. We ask that you would develop and sustain deep, meaningful relationships throughout your church that are used to demonstrate your love to a watching world. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, thank You for the joy and peace that I have in trusting You. Right now, I lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ who are going through difficult times or feeling alone or discouraged.
Father, I pray that Your love would fill their hearts, that Your peace would flood their inner being, and that they may overflow with Your joy and hope in believing, by the power of the Spirit, and to Your praise and
glory.
Help each one to enter into a deeper dependence upon You and come to a closer communion with the Father. I pray that Your peace which passes all understanding, would guard their hearts and that they would find their
joy in You, knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength. I ask this in Jesus' name,
Amen.
Father, we know the importance of having two or three that are gathered together to pray in Your name, and we ask You to look down in grace and favour on all the many groups and ministries that meet together to intercede on behalf of others.
We ask You to watch over and protect each group, however large or small they may be - and we pray that there would rise up many clusters of intercessors in every country of the world, who are prepared to lift up.. 1)
the leaders of their nation, 2) those that have never trusted Christ as Saviour, 3) and their brothers and sisters in Christ.
We ask that You would equip each group with the facility to pour out their hearts to the Lord,as they pray into the will of God in the lives of all those for whom they are interceding. May they learn to travail in prayer
as they unite to pour out their hearts, in intercessory prayer together. May they learn to abandon their soul unto death.. as did Christ Himself in the garden - as they allow the Holy Spirit within to pray through them..
and to persevere in prayer together.. until Your purpose is carried out to Your praise and glory,
Amen.
