Prayer For Heartache
Heavenly Father God, I come to You in Jesus' name. Lord, I need You. Please keep me as the apple of Your eye. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings. Shut out the oppressive thoughts and situations I am facing, and help me to be aware only of Your presence.
Father God, please help me to sense the warmth and safety that only You provide. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your peace, and comfort me. Thank You. Amen.
Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, please help me to abide in Jesus today. Help me to set my mind and keep it set on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Help me to cast down every high and lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ, and keep my eyes on Jesusthe Author and Finisher of my faith.
Father God, please help me to be aware of Your presence all day today. Help me to think about Jesus all day long. Like Jesus, help me to only say what You say and do what You do, and to keep Your commandments in all things.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name, amen.
Father God, in Jesus' name, thank You that Your strength and grace are available to me right now. Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Fill me with Your grace. Make Your strength perfect in my weakness, Father. I know that I'm very weak in and of myselfbut Your Spirit, who raised Christ from the dead, dwells in me. So raise me up, Lord. Take my weakness away and fill me with Your strength. Order my steps today in Your Word. Help me to stay within Your holy flow today, Lord, and make it easy. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, please heal my heart and fill me with joy again. You know I lost my joy because of the things that happened, but I have forgiven the people who hurt me. Now, Father, I need You to restore my heart.
Restore unto me the joy of my salvation, Father. Uphold me with Your generous Spirit. Strengthen and help me, Lord. Put the bounce back in my step, the smile back on my face, and the dance back in my feet.
Help me to rejoice always, Father, for this is Your will for me. Thank You, Father God, and I praise You for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Father God, I've been struggling to forgive and let this go, but I know You can help me. Please give me a willingness to forgive the same way Jesus forgave those who murdered Him.
Change my heart, Lord, and help me to care more about obeying You than I do about holding onto anything that has been done to me. Help me to forgive completely and from my heart, Lord. Thank You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Lord, please heal my broken heart. Fill me with the peace and joy I know can only come from You during this hard time. Walk closely beside me during my journey to healing and recovery that I know is possible through Your power alone. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Lord, my heart is so heavy this morning. My sorrow is so great. In the midst of all this pain I am feeling, I am so thankful that you are God and I am not. I am thankful that you are all-powerful, that I do not have to hold it all together or be strong for everyone in my life. You are my strength. You are strong for my loved-ones when I can't be. I am thankful you are all-knowing that you know the outcome to this misery I am facing. That I don't have to figure out what the next week or month or year looks like, because you have it all held together. And you promise my feet won't slip. Help me, Lord! Strengthen me for today. Give me daily bread, that I can be sustained through this heartache. Thank you God that you are close when I am hurting. Thank you God for the comfort, grace and joy that only you can give. Dear God,
I am hurting right now. Words cannot truly express the pain that lies within me. It's hard for me to remember ever being happy, and when I do, it hurts even more because of what I've lost. Here's what makes me the saddest about what I've lost after this break up (or estrangement) ________________.
I yearn to go back to the way things used to be. I want to feel whole again. If there is still hope for this relationship, please give me guidance as to what to do to reach out to my ex (or estranged family member). Here is one thing I have been thinking about trying ___________________________. Give me a sign as to whether or not my thoughts have validity.
God, I need to know whether or not I'm being level-headed. Help me to listen to you and be patient as you show me the way. I am thinking about asking ___________________ for advice. Help me determine if this is a good decision or not.
If all attempts to reconnect with my ex (or estranged family member) fails, give me the strength I need to accept the finality of the dismemberment and the reality of my broken heart.
I know that my circle means well, but they don't how to really help me. They tell me that things aren't that bad, that I should get up, go out, get even and enjoy myself. They tell me to look at all of the good things I still have in my life. But someday won't help me today because my heart and spirit are crushed from loss and loneliness. I need to remember how strong I am and am capable of being.

Jesus, you are my Lord and Savior, and I don't have anywhere else to turn but to you. I know you understand because it says in the Bible, My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. This is my prayer for heartbreak Lord. I am raising my hands in the name of Jesus Christ and allowing you Lord to take the wheel. Please guide me to a life that doesn't involve heartbreak. A life that is capable of getting back up. A life that is true to myself. Amen.
