Prayer For Healing Marriage

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today on behalf of marriages that are broken and those that are wounded and hurt.

A marriage is never beyond repair. There is always hope for those who put their trust in You, and so we stand in the gap for these couples, Lord, asking that you would restore the love between them. Tear down walls where they've been built, and heal each broken heart.

We ask that You would grant understanding and wisdom to those who are going through tough times. Teach them how to forgive, and how to rebuild what they've lost.

In the name of Jesus we pray.

Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the spouse you have given me and all their wonderful qualities. Help me look for the good in my spouse every day and overlook any perceived flaws. Help us stay committed to one another and keep us both from temptation. Guide our future to glorify You and keep us healthy so we can work for your Kingdom. When we disagree, help us to approach one another with humility and respect. Deepen our communication and friendship so our relationship is stronger than ever. Help us guide our children and our entire family closer to You each day. May we put You first, and in turn see our love grow.

In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Lord Jesus, I pray you would be glorified in my marriage. Wherever I find myself, in good times or bad times help me to reflect your character. In faith, I wait for change and healing in my marriage. Meanwhile, I lean on your strength and believe you will guide me, give me wisdom and strength so I can honor your name.

Help us, Father, to see all of our trials as opportunities to rejoice and trust in you. In your Word we read, "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy." That sounds so hard! Lord, help us see what that might look like in our lives. Help us have your perspective when trials come to know that our suffering is an opportunity to depend on you and for you to show up in our lives.

Heavenly Father we come before you to thank you for all you have done and continue to do in our lives and marriage. We come before you today, God, asking for a stronger bond of unity in our marriage covenant.

Father we ask that you will give us the ability to be a united front for you letting nothing come between us.

Help us, Father to identify and work through anything that is not pleasing to you so we can continually reach higher levels of unity in our marriage spiritually, physically, and mentally.

We are thankful and excited to see the work of your hand as we do our best to seek your face daily. We love you and thank you for all of these things.

Lord, I pray for your peace to rule richly in my marriage and in my home. You said in your Word that the peace you give passes all understanding. I receive that peace right now. I choose to let the peace of Christ rest in my heart. As the peace of Christ rest in my heart, it will extend to my marriage.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please teach us how to forgive. Your word tells us to forgive others as You have also forgiven us.

We need to let go of our anger, our hurt, and our pain so that we can move forward, Lord. Please help us to do that.

Help us to let go of resentment, and soften our hearts to choose love. Give us the wisdom to handle our pain wisely and to draw boundaries where they need to be drawn.

If we are angry, may we harness that anger so we don't sin against You. And when we are hurt, please help us heal. In the name of Jesus we pray.
