Prayer For God's Direction In Life
God of all Truth, I spend so much time thinking, planning and worrying about my life. Your word says that, although people plan their course in their hearts, it is you who establishes our steps. Help me to make you the center of my planning. I can do nothing without you giving me the strength to do it. I can plan nothing without you giving me the mind to plan it. The desires of my heart can only be satisfied in you. Direct my steps, Lord, to follow you. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
All-knowing God, your word is living and active. Help me to be attentive to your voice as you guide me through life. Your word is a lamp for my feet. When I don't know where I am going, help me to listen to you and follow the path that you show me. You are a light shining in the darkness. When I don't know which way to turn would you shine the light of your love into the cloud of confusion. Bring clarity to my mind. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of all wisdom, you have promised that if anybody lacks wisdom, we should ask you, and you will give us that wisdom. I ask you for wisdom now, Lord. Help me to make wise decisions that are for my good and your glory. You will give me wisdom not because I have earned it, but because it is a free and gracious gift. You are a generous, loving Father, and all wisdom is found in you. Give me all the wisdom I need right now. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God, Creator of all things, you made me and you know me better than anyone else. You know me better than I know myself. Your eyes watched over my development in my mother's womb and all my days are written in your book before I was even born. Help me to trust in your providence, Lord. You are my provider and protector. You are my wisdom and my light. Guide my thoughts, words and actions as I live my life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Dearest Heavenly Father, Lord of all Heaven and Earth, I come humbly to Your feet at this time to ask for Your divine guidance and Your loving direction in my life.
You already know Lord why I come to Your feet as You know everything about me and nothing can be hidden from Your loving sight. Father, please guide me because I have lost my direction.
Help me to navigate my way through the labyrinth of my personal relationships and along Your path ahead. Dear Lord, lead me through the way I must walk.
Guide my footsteps each day, so I will not stray from the direction You have set for me, Your child.
Father, please show me where You want me to be and not where I would like to be. I cannot do this on my own, I cannot work out my problems on my own.
Please grant me wisdom and discernment so I may know the right from wrong as I do not wish to stray from Your loving way.
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
Affirm to God that all your ways are pure in your own eyes, and that you have trouble seeing your own errors. Ask Him to weigh your spirit and examine your motives. (Proverbs 16:2)
Tell God that you trust Him with all your heart, and that you don't want to rely on your own understanding. Then commit to acknowledging Him in all your ways, and let Him know you're trusting Him to make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction into my heart and my circumstances, and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it's hard. Fill me with peace in knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, Your purpose will prevail. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
