Prayer For God Guidance
Dear God,
I get up every morning now, and thank You for another day.
As I shower I always pray.
I think of You and there You are,
telling me what You want me to know.
Then I get ready with the day's scripture reading;
You always have more to say.
I never leave the house, before I kneel down and pray.
I always ask the Holy Spirit to come to me.
I always ask You to forgive me for my failings.
I always turn over my day to You, Oh Lord.
So, tell me then, when did I go astray?
What have You told me that I didn't listen to today?
What doors have You opened that I failed to pass through?
What directions are You trying to get me to follow?
Where have I failed You Lord?
Where have I strayed?
What more do You want me to do this day?
Please Oh Lord, tell me where I have failed You.
Bring me back home.
I am so very confused and feeling so alone.
What more do You want of me?
I give You my all.
If this is not good enough,
I don't know what else to do.
I guess I could pray more.
I guess I could trust You more.
Are You telling me to wait, Lord?
Is this what You are saying?
I will wait for Your answer Lord.
I can't hear You today, Oh Lord, but I know You are there.
I know You truly do care.
I just know it.
Some have tried to tell me I am a fool to wait on You.
They treat me like I am crazy when I say I talk to You.
They think I am weird because I plaster Your precious name all over the place.
I need all the reminders around me, because You see,
Sometimes I forget to pray.
Sometimes I forget You are there.
Sometimes I forget You care.
Sometimes I don't believe Your word.
Oh I beg Your forgiveness for these times.
But Lord, as each day goes by and I look around,
I can see Your handy work all over town.
Oh, Lord, I know You are there.
Oh Lord, I know You care.
Even though I can't hear You, and I am not sure I am doing Your will,
I know You love me,
I just know You care.
Thank You, Jesus, for loving me this way.
Help me to wait, if I am to wait.
Help me to pray if I am to pray.
Help me to trust oh on this one, ALL THE WAY.
Help me Jesus.
I see the storm coming.
I know You see it, too.
I am trying not to be afraid.
I am trying not to cry but Oh Lord,
it is hard sometimes my flesh is weak,
but I know You are strong Oh Lord.
I know You care.
I love You Jesus,
but I know You love me more.
Thank You Jesus Thank You God.

Father in Heaven,
You made me Your child
and called me to walk in the Light of Christ.
Free me from darkness
and keep me in the Light of Your Truth.
The Light of Jesus has scattered
the darkness of hatred and sin.
Called to that Light,
I ask for Your guidance.
Form my life in Your Truth,
my heart in Your Love.
Through the Holy Eucharist,
give me the power of Your Grace
that I may walk in the Light of Jesus
and serve Him faithfully.
Heavenly Father, I come to You with a spirit of admiration, adoration and praise as I seek your guidance. I bow at the foot of Your throne to honor You because of who You are. My Lord, my God, I Love You. I worship You. And I give You the glory that is due to Your wonderful name.
Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress, my Strong-tower, My Deliverer. In You I live and have my being.
You are the all-consuming fire that burns within me and I thank You for Your continued blessings.
Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance. Forgive me for getting ahead of Your plans, and help me know when to stop and listen for Your direction. Your ways are perfect. Thank You for offering gentle grace and guidance. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Lord, I pray you would move the Spirit more boldly in my life. I know that any sin can grieve and diminish the voice of the Spirit, and I pray against the temptation to sin. Help me crave your presence more than I crave sin. Help me grow in the fruit of the Spirit and so walk closer with Yourself. I pray for guidance from your Spirit- let your will and promises always be a meditation of my heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen
Good morning, Lord! Today's a new day, a chance for a new start. Yesterday is gone and with it any regrets, mistakes, or failures I may have experienced. It's a good day to be glad and give thanks, and I do, Lord. Thank you for today, a new opportunity to love, give, and be all that you want me to be.
Today I want to start the day with you on my mind and in my heart. As I dress, let me wear the armor you've provided daily: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, and the sword of the spiritwith prayer on my tongue: praise for you and petitions for those around me and those I meet.
Feed me today with your daily bread. As the Bread of Life, your food, like manna, will sustain me throughout any trials and hungers. Help me to set my thoughts on things above and to speak only what will help and encourage others. Keep me from putting my foot in my mouth, and help me guard the affections of my heart today, Lord. Make whatever work I do be marked with excellence rather than perfectionism, as I seek not to make a name, but to make a difference. Help me to treat each person I encounter as you would, with respect and love, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness myself when needed.
As I start this day, help me remember that I belong to you, and my desire is to act accordingly. Keep my feet from stumbling and my mind from wandering into distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have designed for me. I'm proud to be your child, Lord. And I'm so grateful that you died for merising again on your own new morningso that every day could be filled with the wonder of your love, the freedom of your Spirit, and the joy of knowing you.
I know earthly life is short and fleeting, Lord. But I want to live today as if it were the first or the last day of my life, giving thanks for every good and perfect gift you choose to give. Today, and every day, I want to live my life for you, Jesus. In your precious name, Amen.

Lead me Lord today in Your righteous ways. Teach me Your ways, and may I know You more and love you better with each passing day. In Jesus' name I pray,
