Prayer For Desperation
Mighty God, I come to You with a seemingly hopeless situation. I need help, fast! Point out to me the road to follow, for You are the God who saves me. I put my hope in You. Remember me in the light of Your compassion and unfailing love. Turn to me and have mercy, for I am in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse; save me from them all. Thank You, blessed Savior. Amen.
My Good Shepherd, in this time of distress and despair, I ask that You walk close beside me through this dark valley. Protect and comfort me, renew my strength, and guide me along the right path. I will not be afraid when You are with me. I have all that I need, for You are my great provider. Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life. Amen.
God of heaven's armies, rescue me from this perilous situation. Deflect these arrows that are aimed at me. Rise up in power. May Your strong right hand lift me to a place of security. I thank You for granting my request. Oh Most High, I know Your unfailing love will keep me from stumbling. Thank You for Your eternal blessings and the joy of Your presence. Amen.
Lord, I feel helpless in the face of my circumstances. In my time of trouble, hear my cry and keep me safe from all harm. Send help from heaven and strengthen me. I know You will rescue me and answer me, and I will raise a banner of victory in the name of my God. I will rise up and stand firm. I give thanks and praise to You, my God and my Redeemer, mighty to save. Amen.
Oh glorious apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered thy beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused thee to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of hopeless cases--of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (mention your request), and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee. Amen

great in virtue and rich in miracles,
near kinsman of Jesus Christ,
faithful intercessor for all who invoke you,
special patron in time of need;
to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart,
and humbly beg you,
to whom God has given such great power,
to come to my assistance;
help me now in my urgent need and grant my earnest petition.

I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble,
and he answered me.
I called to you from the land of the dead,
and Lord, you heard me!
I sank beneath the waves,
and the waters closed over me.
Seaweed wrapped itself around my head.
I sank down to the very roots of the mountains.
I was imprisoned in the earth,
whose gates lock shut forever.
But you, O Lord my God,
snatched me from the jaws of death!
As my life was slipping away,
I remembered the Lord.
And my earnest prayer went out to you
in your holy Temple.
Lord,
I feel as though I am losing my grip and can barely hang on a moment longer. In desperation I reach my hand to you, God. Grab me! Pull me out of this mess! Hear my earnest prayer! I give my life to you today, every bit of it. I'm yours. Help me. Be my God. No longer will I build my life on shifting sand. You are my rock, and with your help I will establish my life on your firm foundation. Deliver me from this pit, and I will praise you. I will tell of your great wonders. I will make known your wonderful ways, steadfast love, and unending power. Thank you! I know you hear me and that you save the humble and contrite of heart. Forgive me for my decisions, actions, and attitudes that got me to this place. I receive your forgiveness and power to change. And as I am forgiven, I forgive each person that has contributed to my temporary defeat, for my victory is at hand. You are here.
