Prayer For Clarity And Guidance
God, Creator of all things, you made me and you know me better than anyone else. You know me better than I know myself. Your eyes watched over my development in my mother's womb and all my days are written in your book before I was even born. Help me to trust in your providence, Lord. You are my provider and protector. You are my wisdom and my light. Guide my thoughts, words and actions as I live my life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of all wisdom, you have promised that if anybody lacks wisdom, we should ask you, and you will give us that wisdom. I ask you for wisdom now, Lord. Help me to make wise decisions that are for my good and your glory. You will give me wisdom not because I have earned it, but because it is a free and gracious gift. You are a generous, loving Father, and all wisdom is found in you. Give me all the wisdom I need right now. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
All-knowing God, your word is living and active. Help me to be attentive to your voice as you guide me through life. Your word is a lamp for my feet. When I don't know where I am going, help me to listen to you and follow the path that you show me. You are a light shining in the darkness. When I don't know which way to turn would you shine the light of your love into the cloud of confusion. Bring clarity to my mind. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Generous Father, you have told me to ask you for whatever I need. You said that if I ask, it will be given. If I seek, I will find. If I knock, the door will be opened to me. I ask you for guidance and direction now, Lord, and pray that you would answer my request. You are a perfectly good Father who only ever gives good gifts to his children. You love to give good gifts to those who ask. As your humble child, I ask for the gift of wisdom today. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Loving Father, please send your Holy Spirit to lead me. You said that your Spirit will teach me all things and guide me into all truth. Remind me of the words of Jesus as I make choices today. When I become overwhelmed with the decisions that are placed before me, please give me the peace that surpasses all understanding. Clear my mind to follow you with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
O Lord my God, help me to trust you with my decisions and my future. Let me lean on you with all my heart instead of relying on my own imperfect understanding. Give me clear guidance in my life, Lord. As I submit myself to you, I know that you will direct my paths and I can have confidence that your direction is always the best way to go. Hear my prayer, Father. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Good morning, Lord! Today's a new day, a chance for a new start. Yesterday is gone and with it any regrets, mistakes, or failures I may have experienced. It's a good day to be glad and give thanks, and I do, Lord. Thank you for today, a new opportunity to love, give, and be all that you want me to be.
Today I want to start the day with you on my mind and in my heart. As I dress, let me wear the armor you've provided daily: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, and the sword of the spiritwith prayer on my tongue: praise for you and petitions for those around me and those I meet.
Feed me today with your daily bread. As the Bread of Life, your food, like manna, will sustain me throughout any trials and hungers. Help me to set my thoughts on things above and to speak only what will help and encourage others. Keep me from putting my foot in my mouth, and help me guard the affections of my heart today, Lord. Make whatever work I do be marked with excellence rather than perfectionism, as I seek not to make a name, but to make a difference. Help me to treat each person I encounter as you would, with respect and love, forgiving others and asking for forgiveness myself when needed.
As I start this day, help me remember that I belong to you, and my desire is to act accordingly. Keep my feet from stumbling and my mind from wandering into distractions that could steal precious time and energy from the most important things you have designed for me. I'm proud to be your child, Lord. And I'm so grateful that you died for merising again on your own new morningso that every day could be filled with the wonder of your love, the freedom of your Spirit, and the joy of knowing you.
I know earthly life is short and fleeting, Lord. But I want to live today as if it were the first or the last day of my life, giving thanks for every good and perfect gift you choose to give. Today, and every day, I want to live my life for you, Jesus. In your precious name, Amen.
Lord, I pray you would move the Spirit more boldly in my life. I know that any sin can grieve and diminish the voice of the Spirit, and I pray against the temptation to sin. Help me crave your presence more than I crave sin. Help me grow in the fruit of the Spirit and so walk closer with Yourself. I pray for guidance from your Spirit- let your will and promises always be a meditation of my heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen
