Prayer For Children With Special Needs
Strengthen them in their trials and tribulations, that they may gain perseverance.
Father, we pray for friendships that will be supportive and encouraging. May those of similar paths enter their life so they do not feel so alone.
May friendships and relationships be strengthened by words of sensitive encouragement. And may there be forgiveness when someone hurts their feelings by words of insensitive advice or judgement.
Father, help these children to grow stronger and become smarter with Your wisdom. God will You show Your favor on them and may others show them favor.
Dear Lord,
My heart is so tender before you.
At times, the challenges can feel so heavy,
the constant care can be emotionally exhausting and lonely.
Help me to see [name's] limitations as limitless opportunities
for me to find strength and courage in you.
Help [name's] disability to become my ability
to serve you in such a profound way.
Help me to see through your eyes
the incredible blessing
that you have created [name] to be.
Dear Heavenly Father:
Before the world could ever know, You created my precious child and crafted a beautiful blueprint for her life. Having special needs and even disabilities provides a different kind of normal for our family, but we are determined to praise you in the storm. While I'm so blessed to be the mama, we have our good days and our bad. Yet you guide us through each one, providing mercy and grace in exact measure. Now we come before you, simply asking that you measure out for us exactly what we need once more. That you who calms storms with your voice would calm the storms of our hearts with your presence. Amen.
Lord, thank You for creating every child. Please equip World Vision staff, community leaders, families, and Your followers as they support children with disabilities, and encourage them. May they experience Your deep love every day.
Lord, you are Holy above all others, and all of the strength that I need is in your hands.
I am not asking, Lord, that you take this trial away. Instead, I simply ask that Your will be done in my life. Whatever that means, that is what I want.
But I admit that it's hard, Lord.
Sometimes I feel like I can't go on. The pain and the fear are too much for me, and I know that I don't have the strength on my own to get through this.
I know that I can come to you, Jesus, and that you will hear my prayer. I know that it is not your intent to bring me to this point just to leave me in the wilderness alone.
Please, Lord, give me the strength that I need to face today. I don't have to worry about tomorrow.
If you just give me the strength that I need today that is all I need.
Keep me from sinning during this trial. Instead, help me to keep my eyes on you. You are the Holy Lord, and all of my hope rests in you.
