Prayer For Bahamas

God grant peace and serenity and help them face this situation

Most gracious and faithful living God, we magnify and honour thy name above all names. How excellent is thy name in all the earth. Your name alone is worthy to be praised. Our hallelujah belongs only to you. You alone deserve it.

#Almighty God you said if we have faith and do not doubt, we will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also, if we say to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, it shall be done. We believe that every mountain of challenges facing our nation is now cast into the sea.

#Sovereign Father, we as a nation, we come before you humbly thanking you for strengthening our faith, giving us a people child-like faith. Help us to never doubt your word and your faithfulness. For your word is sure, it cannot fail; it is like a two-edged sword. May it cut, uproot, destroy, pull down, but most of all, build up out nation for your honour and glory.

#As a nation, help us to be sensitive to the leading of your spirit and never forget that we can do all things through you, the Messiah who strengthens us. Strengthen us, oh Yahweh, that we may become a strong nation and follow after your truth and your righteousness

#Oh chief commander, we thank you for helping the prayer warriors to stay on the walls of our nation. With your help we shall take back our country from the enemy by force. Oh, Sovereign King, we thank you for making our feet like hind feet, they shall run the hills and valleys on the mountain tops of these Bahama Islands, declaring that there is no other God like you.

#Oh God, with your help, we are advancing against troops and scaling walls. We are destined to possess every gate from Grand Bahama to Inagua. You have armed us with strength and have made our way perfect. Our Redeemer, we are reminding you of your word as we fight, for it is our only survival. You have trained our hands to war and our fingers to fight. Because of you, our hands are ready for battle. Our hands are upon the necks of our enemies. We are your battle axe. You have given us the shield of victory.

#No weapon formed against our nation shall prosper. Thank you for locking the jaws of every enemy and hiding us as a people in your precious blood so the enemy can't see us as we fight for justice in our nation.

#We shall fear not, for we know you are with us. We declare your righteousness in this nation, so that we may be governed by your laws and the gates of righteousness opened for you to come in. Help us, oh God, to stand for what is right and fight for what is just. Hallelujah, Amen.

Lord, speak through the storm and comfort your people.

Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Gracious God,

In the face of nature's fury, we can't help but feel small. Our fear and powerlessness arises when confronted by forces beyond our control. In the midst of tragedy and loss, we pray for the people of the Bahamas. We tremble at the prospects of catastrophe, of loss of life and possession, and we remember all we felt in the face of storms in our past.

But you are the voice within the whirlwind, the Spirit who hovers over the face of the deep, and the Savior who walks upon the waves and torrent. Isaiah reminds us that when we pass through the waters, you will be with us; when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us.

So, we pray for the people of the Bahamas. Strengthen them to be best prepared for days to come. Amidst devastation and loss, remind them through us that nothing can separate any of us from your love poured out in Jesus. Prepare the Church around the world as we transform our fears into fire, our concern into compassion, and our prayers into generous response.
In the name of Jesus Christ, whose love is our peace.

Amen .

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for helping us to release all control to You so that God's Perfect Will for our lives

today is done.

In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Triumphant Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers concerning the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands. Thank You for comforting those impacted and for helping them to recover. Holy Spirit, thank You for pouring out Your spirit of love, compassion, benevolence and generosity. Thank You for supplying all the needs for those impacted according to Your glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Lord, You are great, and Your power is absolute! Your understanding is beyond comprehension. Lord, Most High, You are awesome. You are the King of all the earth.

Gracious Father, we declare that the citizens of the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands will rebuild the ruins and restore the places that were devastated by Hurricane Dorian. We expect Your favor to surround them like a shield. We declare renewal in the ruined areas! We call forth the blessings of God to rest upon their communities! Lord, we command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream within every governmental agency and insurance company that is responsible for helping the residents to recover. We command the necessary funds for rebuilding to come forth! We declare that the hope and trust of each citizen are in You, the Lord of Heaven's Armies! Today, we stand in the gap and pray for the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands! We pray for their leaders in business and commerce, energy, healthcare, education and the religious community. We declare God's blessings, protection and provision over the thousands of residents of Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands who are without shelter, stranded by flooding and are likely to suffer shortages of food, water and medicine.

God, our Healer, please heal each person emotionally and psychologically. Holy Spirit, calm the fears of every citizen, especially children and the elderly. Comfort those who have experienced the death of their loved ones and total loss of their homes and businesses. Let Your love and presence saturate their hearts, souls and spirits. Touch the hearts of people throughout the world to give generously. Holy Spirit, lead and guide the United Nations, the U.S. Embassy in Nassau and all local officials to rebuild the infrastructure with supernatural efficiency. Continue to send people who will love, support, and comfort the residents during their time of recovery. God, our Healer, please provide healing and speedy recovery to every citizen.

Righteous Father, forgive the citizens for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive those governmental leaders for not looking after their citizens and for oppressing the poor and disadvantaged. Forgive those of us who are insensitive to the needs of those severely impacted by Hurricane Dorian. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the citizens of the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands of those they need to forgive and help them to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them say, I forgive name of person(s). Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help the citizens of the Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Lord of all creation, we lament the devastation in the Bahamas and grieve with those still in shock at the level of loss brought by Hurricane Dorian.

We know the images of destruction, flooding and human suffering painful as they are do not adequately tell the story of the trauma endured and the demands of the recovery yet to come.Surround the Bahamian people with a sure sense of your presence. Strengthen leaders and first responders; grant them wisdom and tenacity. Gather together resources from multitudes and multiply them until all who need help are reached and given comfort.

Make sure, Lord God, that those of us watching from a distance do not forget those for whom this nightmare is all too real, so that our tending to them long outlasts the impact of this storm. Stay close to those still anxiously watching and wondering where Dorian's wrath will go next.

In Christ's name, amen.
