Prayer For Baby Girl First Birthday

God bless this perfect little one,
Keep him safe and sound.
Bless his tiny hands and feet,
so he may conquer and defeat.
Brighten up his spiritual eyes,
so that he may undoubtedly become wise.
Bless his cute little mouth,
So your name he can shout.
But most of all bless his little mind,
to stay heavenly divine.
Oh! And don't forget to bless his parents too
For the big job they got to do.
Amen.

O God, Please ensure that (name)
has a happy and celebratory birthday.
I pray that (name) is surrounded by family
and friends as she marks the passing
of another year.

In your name I pray

Amen.

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
Although he spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind).
I asked him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that he be near you
At the start of each new day;
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small.
But it was for his loving care
I prayed the most of all!
Amen.

May God grant you friendship
and warm love within your home.
May he surround you in the quiet peace
that's found in him alone.
May his hand lead you to laughter,
and his love dry every tear.
As you sense his presence in your life
more deeply every year.

Thank You, Father, for this precious little lady. We praise You for the love that she has brought to so many, in her young life. Lord, I ask that You would be close to this little one, as we celebrate another year, another birthday, and may today be a very special day that she will remember for many years to come.

Thank You for her life and the joy that she has brought to so many people. Lord, it is strange how quickly time seems to pass and I pray that as she grows up and matures into womanhood, that You would be close to her and draw her into true saving faith in Christ Jesus. Give her grace and wisdom, and may she be filled with the love and joy of knowing You. And guide her into all truth I pray.

As she embarks on the next step of her journey through life, I pray that You would guard her and guide her, and keep her from all dangers and evils. Draw her ever closer into Your heart of love I pray. In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Most wonderful heavenly Father,

I come before you today to offer up thanks and praise to you for the amazing creation of Virginia Rose Haake. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful and sweet girl into my life and into all the lives that she has already touched with her smiling face and beautiful spirit. It is easy for me to think that I am the person who brought her into this world and that she is mine, but please help me to remember that she is Yours, and you have given me the privilege and challenge of being her earthly mother. Though she may look like her father and I, you knit her together in my womb and know everything about her, and the plan YOU have for her life is the one I pray you help me to lead her toward. It has been an amazing first year with my daughter, and I thank you for being by my side every step of the way to help give me wisdom and strength to be a mother. Continue to shower me with love, patience and wisdom for the years to come.

I ask that you be with sweet Virginia all the days of her life. Show her your presence and keep her heart pure so that she can see YOU. Help her to remain healthy and strong in her body and mind to ready her for all the amazing things you have in mind for her to accomplish one day. Give her a thirst and a longing for a relationship with you and a love for others that transforms her. Give her strength to deal with life's hardships and help her to grow from them without a bitter spirit. Protect her from Satan and the traps he likes to set for those of us on this earth.

Lord, I thank you again for my Virgie and all the joy she brings to my life. She is a wonderful addition to my earthly family, and I cannot tell you how YOUR plan for my life and now hers AMAZES me. AMAZES ME. Thank you for all you have taught me this year about love and relationships. Be with Virginia. Grow her up in your loving arms.

It is the precious name of your Son that I can come to you in prayer today,

Amen.

Dearest Lord,
You are my dearest. Before I even speak about my beloved child, I want to acknowledge You. My Creator, Savior, and Sustainer I owe all I am and all I have to you.
I confess that there have been many times this year when my mind and time has been so full of caring for my child that my time with You has taken a backseat. In those moments and days I felt a mix of guilt and grace.
I felt guilt because I know that my relationship with You is what matters most in the world. But I have been an overwhelmed and tired mama with an expansively needy baby, and I know You are patient. Thank you for waiting for me.

As she now has a semblance of a routine and I am a more experienced mother, I pray that you can help me be attentive to her but also never fail to come to You in prayer and Scripture and quietness. You are what makes me whole.
As I reflect on my child's first year her only year of babyhood that has quickly slipped by I am grateful for each week.
Thank you for her smiles and giggles. Thank you for her hugs and babbles. Thank you for her wonder. Her first steps. Her excitement when she sees me. Our special times of nursing in dark rooms before she drifts to sleep.

Thank you also for her dirty diapers and her wails. Many mothers who have lost children long for those things, and I know none of us is guaranteed another day.
I pray today as I have prayed before:
Please help her come to faith very young
Please help her understand her worth and live in the confidence that Love provides
Please help her be curious about the world
Please keep evil people and evil messages away from her
Please help her learn to share with her brother and be his friend forever
Please grow in her wonderful spiritual gifts and the fruit of the spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control
Please help her do good in the world and live into her calling
Please nurture her future husband in his days, his family, and his faith
Please show her daddy and me how to play our roles in it all
God of all show us how to make each week count. We feel the weight of responsibility to grow her into the shining adult you have destined her to be.
We will do our best, but we are flawed.
I am too often impatient and harsh. I am forgetful and miss opportunities. In the end, we trust You to work through us and in her, regardless.
She is Your child more than she is our child.
Fill her heart with your Holy Spirit. We thank you for our little girl. In Jesus' name. Amen.
