Prayer For Baby Boy Dedication
Father, thank you for this precious gift of new life. As we dedicate this precious baby to, we pray that you would watch over this dear child all the days of his/her life. Guide his/her footsteps. Inspire his/her mind. Anoint his/her hands and lead him/her into life eternal. For the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
May you grow to know the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done ultimately and triumphantly through the person of Christ. May you grow to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord.
May you learn God's law, and may it move you to celebrate God's holiness and to treasure the righteousness of Christ, being found in him, not having a righteousness of your own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith. And may your knowledge of God's law in turn help you set your hope in God and not forget the works of God but keep his commandments.
May you grow to know Christ and the power of his resurrection. And as you share in Christ's sufferings, even becoming like him in his death, may you attain the resurrection from the dead and then enjoy the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
To the praise of Jesus and in full dependence on him, I bless you with these words. Amen.
O, Triune Father, Son, and Spirit,
These parents and this church body pray,
We say, Not to us but to your name
Be all glory, praise and acclaim.
Your greatness is incomparable,
Yet each of these precious little lives
Displays your image and by you thrives.
May they grow to abide at your side.
Glorify yourself through each boy and girl.
When they are yet young, give them rebirth.
Let them see and savor the Savior
And unearth the treasure of your worth.
Justify them through the blood of Christ.
May Jesus be more, and they be less.
Vanquish the curse in order to bless.
Let them find rest in Christ's righteousness.
When Satan intrudes as a lion,
Wounding by pain or tempting to sin,
Recall promises; give hope within;
Keep them trusting, confident you win.
It's such a broken world, but you heal.
Be their strength, their song, and their delight.
Be their rock of truth in seas of lies.
When the shadows are dark, be their light.
We dedicate these children to you,
Sovereign God, for the sake of your name,
Surrendering every worldly claim,
That they may be wholly yours forev'r.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this treasured child of mine. What a profound blessing this child is to me! Although you have entrusted this baby to me as a gift, I know he or she belongs to you. Like Hannah offered Samuel, I dedicate my child to you, Lord. I recognize that he or she is always in your care.
Help me as a parent, Lord, with my weaknesses and imperfections. Rather than worry, help me to remember that my baby is secure in your mighty hands. Your love is perfect, Lord, so I can trust that your love and concern for this baby is even greater than mine. I know that you will protect my child.
Give me strength and godly wisdom to raise this child after your Holy Word. Please, supply supernaturally what I lack. Keep my child walking on the path that leads to eternal life. Help him or her to overcome the temptations of this world and the sin that would so easily entangle him.
Dear God, send your Holy Spirit daily to lead, guide and counsel my child. Always assist him or her to grow in wisdom and stature, in grace and knowledge, in kindness, compassion, and love. May this child serve you faithfully, with his whole heart devoted to you all the days of his life. May he discover the joy of your presence through a daily relationship with your Son, Jesus Christ.
Help me never to hold on too tightly to this child, nor neglect my responsibilities before you as a parent. I promise to do everything in my power to raise my child according to the precepts in your holy Word. I look forward with great anticipation to the day this child decides on his own to follow you.
Help me to be an example to my child, and to teach and train him or her in God's Word. Give me wisdom to discipline my child according to your ways. May I never stop praying for this gift you've entrusted to me. Lord, let my commitment to raise this child for the glory of your name cause his life to forever testify of your faithfulness.

Father, I thank You for this precious life that You have blessed us with! We take this beloved life in our arms right now and bless it, laying our hands on it. We proclaim blessings over this baby's life for this child belongs to You! Father, please keep this baby from harm's way, let the plans that You have that give this baby a future and a hope come to fruition, Amen.
God of Love, I declare that Your love and Your peace will surround this baby for the rest of their days. We will not hinder this baby from coming to You because the kingdom of heaven belongs to us, according to Your will. Lord, even the youth shall inherit the kingdom! I thank You for this baby, I pray that this baby will grow to whole-heartedly seek You so that he/she may find eternal peace in Your heavenly kingdom, Amen.
Righteous Father, we rejoice for the life of this baby! Thank You for blessing us with such a precious gift. I pray that You surround this child with good things so that this child may grow in Your will and Your ways. I pray for this baby's parents and guardians, fill them with wisdom so that they may train this baby in the way that he/she should go so that even when he/she is old, he/she will not depart from it, Amen.
Eternal God, many have prayed for this child, and You gave us the petition that we asked of You. You heard our prayers and brought this child into our lives. Therefore, we choose to dedicate this child to You today, because as long as this child lives, he/she will be dedicated to You. This child belongs not to us so please have Your divine way in his/her life, thank You, Lord, Amen.
