Prayer For Anxiety
Loving God,
Please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. My soul is like a turbulent sea. I can't seem to find my balance so I stumble and worry constantly.
Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you've laid out for me. I trust your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night.
Please bring me clarity with the light of God.
In your name I pray, Amen.
God, who is more than we can ever comprehend, help us to seek you, and you alone.
Help us to stand before all that we could do and seek what you would do, and do that.
Lift from us our need to achieve all that we can be and instead, surrender to what you can be in us.
Give us ways to refrain from the busyness that will put us on edge and off center, give us today your peace.
Heavenly Father,
When I feel crushed by my own worries,
Lift my mind and help me to see the truth.
When fear grips me tight and I feel I cannot move,
Free my heart and help me to take things one step at a time.
When I can't express the turmoil inside,
Calm me with Your quiet words of love.
I choose to trust in You, each day, each hour, each moment of my life.
I know deep down that I in Your grace, forgiven, restored by Your sacrifice, You have set me free.
Amen.
Dear Jesus,
You are the strength of my life;
You are my rock, my fortress and my protector; therefore, whom shall I be afraid?
You are my shield, my strong-tower and my stronghold.
I will call to You because You are worthy to be praised.
So, Father, I thank you for being my strength and My God in whom I trust, Amen.
I come before You to lay my panic and anxiety at Your feet. When I'm crushed by my fears and worries, remind me of Your power and Your grace. Fill me with Your peace as I trust in You and You alone. I know I can't beat this on my own, but I also know that I have You, Lord, and You have already paid the ultimate price to carry my burdens.
For this I thank you, Amen.

With the soothing music
Of the singing streams
That live in my memory.
Help me to know
The magical power of sleep,
Teach me the art
Of taking minute vacations
Of slowing down
To look at a flower;
To chat with an old friend
Or make a new one;
To pet a dog;
To watch a spider build a web;
To smile at a child;
Or to read a few lines from a good book.
Remind me each day
That the race is not always won by the swift;
That there is more to life
Than increasing its speed.
Let me look upward
Into the branches of the towering oak
And know that it grew great and strong
Because it grew slowly and well.
Slow me down, Lord,
And inspire me to send my roots deep
Into the soil of life's enduring values
That I may grow toward the stars
Of our greater destiny.
Father, I come before You today as I feel weighed down by the increasing numbers of burdens and battles, stresses and strains that seem to be building up in my life.
Lord, I know that You are faithful and true, and I pray that You would take from me each and every heavy burden that I am carrying today, just as You have promised. Lord, I give You each stressful situation, each hurtful word and every difficult circumstance of life that seems to be bearing down so heavily upon me.
You have said in Your Word that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light and that when I cast all my cares upon You and lay all my burdens down at Your feet, I will find rest for my soul. Lord, I need that rest now, for I am weary and heavy-laden, but I am looking to You for my trust is in You.
Enable me to rest beside Your still waters of refreshment and sleep in Your arms of comfort. Give me I pray, that perfect peace that only flows from You to those that have their mind stayed on You. Keep my heart and mind focussed on Jesus I pray, and help me not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication make my requests known to You, with a thankful heart.
