Prayer For A Little Girl

Dear Jesus, we weep with you over the number of our kids who are buying into the lie that sexual pleasure is something to experiment with. We pray that our daughters would treasure their sexuality as a true gift from You, and that they would honor that gift by saving it as a precious treasure to give their future spouse. We ask that you would help them to be strong in the face of their own desires and that they would choose purity in the face of temptation.

Lord we also ask that you'd protect our daughters from the idea that they must do anything and everything (including abusing their bodies through eating disorders, drug abuse, or other harmful behaviors) in order to attaining a preferred shape or figure. We pray you'd protect our sons from that kind of destructive thinking, and that if they're tempted to take these kind of drastic measures, that you'd send someone in their lives to stop them. Help them to remember over and over that their identity is not in how they look on the outside but what you see as their potential and worth on the inside.

We pray that our daughters would treasure their health as a gift from God and that they would have a passion to eat nutritious food and to stay active in order to do their part to take care of this treasure. In Jesus name, Amen.

Create in _________________ a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). Though you have made ______________ see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore her life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring her up. You will increase ________________'s honor and comfort her once again (Psalm 71:20-21). Thank You that Your word says I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate ___________ from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Dear Lord, I know that Your Word does not return void and I'm believing great things for my daughter today:
1. Let her learn early in life that to obey You, God, is the best way to the life her heart truly desires (1 Samuel 15:22).
2. May she find comfort in Your ability, God, to reach her, hold her and rescue her (2 Samuel 22:17-18).
3. Let her find confidence in You, God, even when hard times come and she doesn't know what to do, by keeping her eyes fixed on You (2 Chronicles 20:12).
4. May she keep herself under control and not give full vent to people and situations that anger her (Proverbs 29:11).
5. Let her walk in the security of Your assigned worth to her. Give her a strong work ethic and health to accomplish all her tasks. Give her a heart that desires to extend her hand to those in need. Protect her for the right husband, a man of respect and godly honor. And let her be a woman of joy and laughter whose Christ-centered character is what makes her most beautiful (Proverbs 31). May we both grow in our relationship with You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus. Thank you so much for all the precious children in this world. We know they mean so much to you. We pray you would help us do all we can to protect and give them the start in life they deserve. Lord we bring to you all of the wonderful work being done to release children from poverty, and we pray that you would bless every pair of hands that works for you. Increase and bless their efforts in Jesus name, Amen.

Lord God, we praise you that you are fully in control of all things. I pray you would protect my child. Keep them healthy and help them to thrive. I thank you that you know every hair on their head. You know exactly when they rise and when they fall. Watch over my child in every area of their life and keep them safe I pray, Amen.

Father God, we ask for your blessing today as we pray these prayers over our children. We praise you that every day we can trust in your goodness. Amen

Dear Lord,

I just ask that you lay your hands on my precious baby girl, Jaeda. She seems so unhappy, angry and sad. I need you, Lord to give me the strength and wisdom to be what she needs and do what is best for her. She worries and creates so much stress for herself at only five years old. I pray that you break this genetic curse of depression and anxiety; and start it with her. I want to thank you for blessing me with such a beautiful, smart and amazing little girl. She deserves so much happiness, Lord.

Please, I ask that you speak to my heart and tell me what I need to do; and how to reach her and get close to her again. My heart is breaking as I am pushed away physically, emotionally and verbally every single day. I ask that you touch her heart and mind; and guide me as I continue to search for answers. Thank you for Jaeda's gift of salvation at such a young age. I just pray all of these things in your precious holy name. Amen.

Dear Jesus,

Please help me be the best mom I can be to my sweet little girls. They are growing into such fun little people and I'm tempted to become their friend. Lord, you know I treat my family better than my friends. Please help me to remember that I show my love for them by being their mom and not their BFF's.

I know that means I have to correct their sweet little faces. Please help me to be fair, loving, and attentive to their physical and spiritual needs. Guide me as I teach them and help me to be a good example. I know they are watching me. They copy me when they wear my shoes when they want a swoosh of lip gloss, and even the manner in which they speak is similar to mine. Please help me to be a Godly example at all times.

Tenderly remind me that they are never far away and those sweet baby girls are always observing me.

May my actions towards others be something that is worthy of being mimicked. May my words be something they can repeat. May the looks and mannerisms I show be something they are proud to copy. May my love pour onto them and then through them. Let them be a shining example to the world, and may that allow the world to wonder what it is that they know. What is it that the world can learn from my sweet girls? It's You Lord, You. The love I have for YOU, Lordlet it be evident in my life. Please bless my relationship with my sweet little ladies. Please help me to keep growing in my Christian walk. Please prompt me to pray for my daughters AND myself. Let me not forget myself, Lord, because I need prayer as much as they do.

Thank you for blessing and entrusting me with these precious girly girls Lord. My heart overflows every time I look at them. I'm amazed that you trusted ME to be their Mother. I praise God for that blessing every day of my life. I promise to take good care of them for You, Lord Jesus.

Amen.
