Prayer For A Family In Need
Great Physician, this family is gripped with infirmity and health problems. We turn to You, our God, to provide healing and restoration. Please heal this family and help us to be spiritually strong while we are physically weak. Let Your healing touch give us all that we need in this time of trouble. We trust that Your grace is sufficient. Amen.
Dear God, this family is struggling to find gainful employment. I know that this is not a problem too big for You to solve. Lord, if it be Your will, please grant an opportunity to find consistent work. Open a door for a job that would honor You and provide resources for this family. Help us to be thankful for each opportunity to earn money, and to use each one wisely as if we were working directly under Your supervision. Thank You for Your provision. Amen.
Father, We have gathered to share a meal in Your honor. Thank You for putting us together as family, and thank You for this food. Bless it to our bodies, Lord. We thank you for all of the gifts you've given to those around this table. Help each member of our family use these gifts to your glory. Guide our mealtime conversations and steer our hearts to Your purpose for our lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear Father, in Your beautiful book of Psalms, chapter 103 and verse 17, You give us this wonderful promise, From everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children. What better promise could we receive from You in our lives than to see our children and children's children blessed with Your love and righteousness? We ask for Your hand of blessing on us as well. Bless us with strength to be there for those we love, and wisdom to know what to say to bring comfort, encouragement, and sometimes difficult truth. We will need Your patience as we wait for Your perfect will and way in each of our loved one's lives. We are so grateful, Lord God. Amen.
Lord Jesus, my Savior, this family is in a crisis of faith. Fears, doubts, and unbelief are attacking us like cancer. God, please shatter these destructive influences, and replace them with resolute, confident faith in Your Word. Use Your Holy Spirit to grant full conviction of sin and a repentant faith in Your gospel for salvation. Let this family become a beacon of faith, repentance, and a Christian testimony to the world. Prince of Peace, this family is in disarray. There is strife between us where there should be love. I know that it is a dishonor to You and grief to all of us. God, please grant this family unity. Let our hearts be softened toward one another and let us seek to obey You by loving each other in a Godly way. Help each of us to show Christlikeness, patience, and forgiveness. Dear Lord, Scripture tells us so many times that people who believe in You are to be kind to the poor and make sure they have enough to eat. We pray that You don't let us forget Your command to support children and families in need.
Dear Lord, You are an ever-present help in time of trouble. Be a source of hope and encouragement to families with single mothers and fathers. Let them see Your love in both word and deed from the Christ followers in their lives.
