Prayer For A Dying Person
Lord,
I pray for those who are on the verge of death right now.
If they have not accepted Christ as their Savior, I pray that it would not be too late for them. Soften their hearts so that they might learn to love you and accept the gift of eternal life before it is too late.
For those who believe already, thank you for the lives they have led for you.
Give them peace in these last days, and comfort their families in the days to come.
I pray this in the name of Your Son,

Lord, you are the giver of life and we thank you for the dear life of [Dying person's name]. Thank you for the time you gave him/her on this earth and all you helped them achieve in their lifetime. Because I know that we all must die some day, I release him/her to you. Receive his/her spirit to dwell with you forever (Ecclesiastes 12:7).
Give [Dying person's name] the grace to step into the afterlife with the joy of seeing your face when they get to heaven. Help him/her not to fear the moment of transition from this world to heaven.
Grant him/her a forgiving heart to release any person he/she may not have forgiven. Fill his/her mind with pure thoughts and kind words to bless those he/she leaves behind. Purify his/her heart to be ready to meet with you the moment they leave this earth and step into eternity.
