Prayer For A Bride On Her Wedding Day
Dear Creator God, we give thanks to You for instituting marriage from the beginning of time. We thank You that whoever You join together should not be separated by anyone. We thank You that (bride)'s and (groom)'s marriage represents the union between You and the Church. And now we thank You for assembling us all together in this sweet time of fun and fellowship. We thank You for the family members, the special friends, and the bridesmaids who are here to honor and bless (bride). Amen.
I pray that they keep to their vows, but remember that they'll never be perfect. That they give each other grace, forgive each other whenever they can, and rely on you for the rest. I pray that their faith in you will never fade, because your faithfulness will never end. Let them lean on you when times get tough, and praise you when blessings are full.
Help them to set goals, yet enjoy each day. Because the days are long, but the years are short. And every day together is a blessing. I pray that they'll seek you together as they continually pursue each otherthat they'll never forget the reasons they fell in love in the first place.
Give her peace today and every day. Lord, bless their marriage immensely.

On this very special day, I lift my dear friend up in prayer. I pray that she wakes up feeling peaceful yet excited, eager, yet ready to soak up each and every moment. No matter what people have told her about marriage, let her go into hers with an open mind and a readiness to fight for her marriage. Remind her that it won't always be easy, but that marriage is such a gift. I pray that each year will be sweeter for her and her husbandno matter what hurdles they must cross. And that even when they go through tough phases, that they'll work through them together.
Oh Gracious God, my heart is filled with a happiness so wonderful that I am almost afraid. This is my wedding day!, and I pray thee that the beautiful joy of this day will never grow dim. Rather, may its memories become more sweet and tender with each passing anniversary. Walk thou with us even to the end of our journey, hand in hand, down the highway to the valley of the final shadow, which we will be able to lighten with sunshine because of our love and happy lives. O God of love, Thou has established marriage for the welfare and happiness of mankind. Thine was the plan, and only with Thee can we work it out with joy.
Bless this husband. Bless him as provider of nourishment and raiment, and sustain him in all the exactions and pressures of his battle for bread. May his strength be her protection, his character be her boast and her pride, and may he so live that she will find in him the haven for which the heart of woman truly longs.
Bless this loving wife. Giver her tenderness that will make her great, a deep sense of understanding, and a great faith in Thee. Give her that inner beauty of soul that never fades, that eternal youth that is found in holding fast the things that never age.
Teach them that marriage is not living merely for each other; it is two uniting and joining hands to serve Thee. Give them great spiritual purpose in life. May they seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and the other things shall be added unto them.
